Dr Jay Amaranath is an Australian trained orthopaedic shoulder and elbow surgeon, with national and international fellowships in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the upper limb. He provides a patient centred model of care that incorporates the individual’s needs and expectations together with the most up to date treatment options.
Dr Amaranath’s areas of interest include arthroscopic surgery, sport medicine, joint replacement surgery and trauma (Adult and Paediatric).

There are certain upper limb injuries that will require more urgent attention than others. These injuries may occur while playing sport, at work or even as an accident performing daily activities. Early identification and management of these will help minimise further damage and optimise recovery.

AC joint injuries
Shoulder or elbow dislocations (post reduction)
Distal biceps tendon rupture
Radial head fractures
Adult clavicle and humerus fractures
